February 1st 2nd 2019 Houston Tx

February 1st !!! I finally made it to Medicare age!!! It’s what we all dream for right??  Lol
We took of to see some of the museums in Houston. What a hugh town!!! Museum were in the downtown area. But parking was good at the museums. The museum of Health and Science was a bit more elementary than I thought. We then went to the Buffalo war museum of all the slaves that were in all the wars prior to their freedom and how black women were also in the military.
This was an all day adventure !! Great day! But just too tired to go back out for dinner so we had left overs!!! Rod thought that was a horrible bday supper, but really ain’t it just another day?????  LOL
Our friends here, Bob and Norma Lawrence, came and picked us up at 9am on Saturday and off to Galveston we went. Only about a 30 min drive. We drove through town and along the beach. So different to see a road on the beach. All the hotels are on the other side of the street. No tide here so it’s water, beach, road, then hotels. Quiet different for us to see. We went to see a Tall ship called Elissa. It’s the oldest still functioning sailing vessel in the world. We then went to a palace owned by a congressman  in Galveston the the late 1800s called Bishop Palace. What a place!! Quiet incredible to its age.
They then took us to a local place to eat, Noah’s Ark restaurant. Bar food that was incredible!! I have now enjoyed Char broiled Oysters!!! Yummy!!! I will have these again at some point.
We sat overlooking the Bay Area of Houston Tx. We are enjoying everyday!! What an adventure we have been blessed to have!!
Love to all, Ms. Fran & Cap’n Rod
