1/31/17 Tuesday Sanford Fla

It's a beautiful sunny day here today!! I good bit warmer than yesterday high today was 72 degrees! We decided to take off and ride the bike to the zoo and spend the day! It's a 3 mile ride but an easy safe route to get there.
It's been 2 years ago today we made the emergency trip to Salisbury from here for the accidental death of my son in laws father, Terry Roseman. He is still so missed. Such a wonderful man of God, we all know we will see him again!!
We spent a great 4 hours or so at the zoo! We have been before but was still a fun place to revisit!
We returned home and helped Paula and Jim move a few more boxes to their new land home, she says their stuff is multiplying!! Ha
I did receive a birthday gift in the mail from Linda Maiden in Tenn what a great surprise ! Thank you My friend! (Pic to be attached). I've already received my gift form my daughter Sherry, been enjoying it our entire trip!! (Pic attached). hehe
Rod has something up his sleeve for tomorrow! But he won't breathe a word!! He love to surprise me!
A quiet supper at home as Rod is still trying to discover why we are having issues with our batteries on the boat! Some thing is draining the power! A must to get repaired before we start the trip home in a couple of weeks!!
Please pray for the health of our boat!!!!!  Love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod

1/28/17 Saturday Sanford Fla

Here it is the last Saturday in January!! Wow I can't believe where the month has gone!!
It's cold here today especially for Florida, a chillly 62 degrees, it was 54 degrees when we got up this morning!! I'm ready to put the flannel sheets on the bed!!  Lol
Rod and I walked the river walk this morning as they had a street long exhibit of the police and fire equipment on display and I wore jeans and a heavy flannel shirt. In the sun it was comfortable but still a bit chilly here on the water. I think it is suppose to warm up again Monday and tomorrow it is predicted to rain!! Paula is sick with a bad cold, the boys made a Lowes run for a few items just to get out for awhile.
Other than a load of laundry, a little cleaning, and some computer duties, and fixed us supper,  I did nothing!!! I did get Lexie out for a good walk this evening!! Even she wanted to do her business and go back to the boat asap!! Hehe
That was my day, nothing exciting!!
Much Love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
Sorry no pics to share today!!

1/27/17 Friday Sanford, Fla

TGIF!!! Well when you on vacation who cares!!! Ha. Another beautiful day here in Sanford. We helped Jim and Paula move more stuff to their new home and Rod and Jim completed the lift repairs on their boat dock. Paula and I waited for furniture delivery and made a trip to Subway for lunch!
Back to the boat for some leftover shop of chicken and rice , showers and a restful evening!!
Not a lot going on today!! But any day in Florida is better than winter in South Carolina, but we have heard it has been a very nice winter at home!! It will snow when we get back home in a month!, lol
I have kept up with Sherry all day as my grandson Triston had his wisdom teeth removed this morning in surgery at 7:30am!! He is doing great and on the road to recovery!! He must be doing well I heard he had Krispy Cream doughnuts this afternoon!!! Lol
It's been a good day!! Love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
Found this frog with binoculars (we call them Noticing Glasses, at BJ's (same as Costco or Sams) and she could not resist having him sit on her deck!! Ain't he just the cutest thing?

1/26/17 Thursday Sanford, Fla

Today was predicted scattered showers, so we hesitated to get to far from the boat. But looking like a great day for a bike ride, we chose to take off and ride awhile. Rod wanted to go to the dollar store for some kind of cleaner to do something in the engine room of the boat, but we did not find what he needed!, I guess that job will wait a few more days! Ha
When we got back to the boat Jim and Paula said the marina would have their small bow rider boat out and ready for the guys to drive it over to the new house. We chose to take the car over to the house and meet them there. And they were expecting a furniture delivery also.
It ended up being a georgeous day, not a drop of rain and best of all no wind!!
The guys arrived with the boat, completed some chores, Paula and I just enjoyed the nice day! Ha
No delivery of furniture to the house as there was some issues with the delivery service so we left and decided on McDonalds salads for supper!! Rod and I enjoyed a nice evening on the back deck, discussed possibility adding  a new tour to our schedule next year!! We just love working more hours I Guess!! Lol    Showered, Pjs on and ready for bed!!
Another good day on vacation!! It will be over soon!!
Much love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
Pics to share!!
We all assisted on getting their boat on the lift at the dock of their new home!

1/25/17 Wednesday Sanford Fla

Another beautiful day in sunny Florida!! 78 degrees little to no wind, what more could I ask for!! Lol
Today was spa and grooming day for Lexie so Paula and I took her at 10am this morning. Park Paws Place groomers her every year when we are here in Sanford! She looked and smelled so good when we picked her up!! ( pic to follow).
We made a quick trip to Walmart for a few things of which I found some great looking sirlions for supper this evening!
We rode with Paula and Jim to the new house to deliver a few items Paula is gathering from her boat that can go to the house. It's got to be hard to live in 2 places at once!! They have not made the complete move still need a few more thing done and furniture before the full move takes place,
We stopped and picked up Lexie from the groomer on the way back to the boat. Rod did some fishing  for awhile, but not much luck, I think he may have caught 2-3 fish!
Rod grilled us the great sirilons for supper while I made salads and a baked potato. (Actually I put the potatoes in the crockpot for baking earlier today) a yummy supper!!!
Rest and a movie this evening, shower done,  PJ's on, and ready for bed before long. It's been another good day!
Love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
Lexie with her pretty little pink bows in her hair from the groomer today!! She looks so good!

1/25/17 Sanford Fla

We woke to a wonderful sunny, but still windy day!!! We hung out this morning on the back deck, enjoyed coffee and discussed what we were going to do today!! We are on vacation you know!! lol
We decided to ride the bike, get some exercise, and enjoy the great weather and see more of this beautiful historic town.
We got out the bike and low and behold ANOTHER FLAT TIRE!!!  Me, I'm just glad it happened now instead of 5 miles from the boat!! Ha   But a quick change of the tire by Rod and off we went!!
Our first stop was a pawn shop called Americas Cash!! Our treasure found, 18 great DVD movies!!! That should hold us for a while!! Lol. A quick lunch at Sanfords famous Lee's Chichen made our day complete!! We rode the bike for a while stopping at a few antique stores and then in back to the boat.
We completed the taxes for our accountant!! Ready to file asap!!! So glad that chore is completed!!
Over all another good day!!
Love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
My Limo being repaired with a new tube in the tire!! We be ready to ride in a jiffy!!
Apple pie monkey bread!! Another Pinterest desert I just had to make!! I drizzled with confection sugar icing!! Yummy!!!!

This morning the wind is still howling!!! Cloudy overcast day wind 25-30mph almost constant!! I went with Paula to a Dr appt and we stopped by Bed Bath and Beyound for like 1 1/2 !!! A women's chucky cheese!! Lol
The rest of my day was getting ready to start tours again in March, preparing all the tide schedules and getting some already booked tours on the schedule. Planning on tours around March 6th!!
We may be on vacation but some work has to be done along the way!! Ha
We all decided a Prime Rib special at the Patio Grille was in order for tonight, so off we went to get supper!! It was superb!!!
First cold day we have had I guess winter comes to Florida at some point!! Ha. The low tonight is 48 degrees!! I may have to turn on the heat!!!!!
Sorry no pics tonight, I figured you didn't want pics of me and Rod working!! Hehe. Although I do love to post pics of him completing his Honey Do list sometimes!!!

1/22/17 Sunday Sanford Fla

Here it is Sunday Morning and we begin preparation for severe storms this evening and tonight. We made sure all was in order and it was a beautiful day so we decided to take off and ride our bike and enjoy the day!! We covered about 5-6 miles and choose to stop at a checkers fast food and have a hotdog! One of my faves, but this one was not good to me as I suffered the rest of the day with my tummy not doing well at all!!!
Rod completed the front bathroom and got it working again (we had to order a new pump). Then he finished the tile job in the kitchen!! It looks great!! Watched a little TV and then the storms began!!! If fact we are still having storms as I write!! Powers has went on and off winds are bad but not to the extent of what just north of us are getting!! I do pray for everyone in its path safety! As soon as the storms past I'm headed to the shower and then to bed!! Ha
Much love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
Looks just like real granite!!! Good job my sweets!!!

1/21/17 Saturday Sanford Fla

Good morning Saturday!!! We got up early and prepared for the moving day of  all the stuff in Paula and Jim's storage shed to their new home!! The move went great as Paula had everything in the shed very organized and boxed so all that was needed was to put it in the truck/ trailer and on to the new house!! We had everything completed in 2 hours!!! Paula was amazed at how well everything went!
I put chicken in the crockpot (lemon garlic chicken) and that was supper!! Along with some brown rice and green beans!! A new recipe of which you should never invite friends to a new recipe, but it turned out great!!  We then decided to treat ourselves to ice cream at Baskin Robbins !!!
An evening of rest and deciding what plans need to be for the predicted storms tomorrow.  Praying everyone is safe in its path!!
Much love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
Lexie watching Her Dads fishing pole to make sure he did not miss catching a fish!! Lol

1/19/17 Thursday & 1/20/17 Friday

1/19/17 Thursday We got up early and headed out to Paula and Jim s new house for cleaning and prepping for them to move in. The guys had chores to be completed there so Paula and I took off to visit a Farm House antique place here in Geneva where they are moving too to check it our!! Lots of great farm animals that wee all let's of this ladies. She had an dold barn full of treasures. We were there about 30-45 mins and the guys called and had broke the pull rope for the motor on the pressure washer!!! So we had to leave as we needed to go to the hardware store for needed supplies to repair!!
We got back with the rope and they were off and working in no time flat!! We got back to the boat and discovered there was a monster truck & 4 wheel display and gathering here at the marina parking lot!! We of course had to check that out! Rod was in heaven!! After our stroll through the trucks and 4 wheelers we went back to the boat and then remembered there was a missile launch at 7:45pm. We sat on the fron of the boat for and hour and they cancelled due to some mechanical issue!! They postponed till Friday night at 7:45pm. I worked on taxes for a while until I could do no more and went to bed!  That's why I forgot to do the blog last night!! Haha
1/20/17 Friday.  We were up at 7am and proceeded to prepare the move of our boat to another dock over next to Paula and Jims boat and all of our other friend we have made over the years are there. Only a 1000ft move but we really wanted to be next to our friends somoff we went. Jim and a couple of guys were there to assist us in docking and soon we were set up again and settled in! THey went to work on the house today and I stayed behind to watch the inauguration of Donald Trump. Something I have never been prevledged to watch as I have always been working. A very grand day and ceremony to witness our 45th president get sworn in to office.
Paula and Jim treated us to dinner at the marina restaurant and we enjoyed a wonderful meal together.

I said if I did not accomplish anything else today i Would get my nails and toes done!! I sure do miss Michelle at home. She is just the best manicurist, but it is a must I get then done here. The lady here remembers me when I come in and I only see her  one time a year!!! Nails and toes are looking good tonight !! Haha

Rod accomplished some chores today, he replace the cable from our antenna to the TV and wow!!! We have TV again!!! The wind was bad while we were in Palm Beach and we had a bad place scratch and dented on the back corner of the boat where we hit the dock and he repaired that today!! I have no idea what will be on his agenda tomorrow. He went by an old book store here in town and found a few Ernest Hemingway books so that made him a happy man!! Hehe
Paula and I made a Walmart run for a few needed supplies and that was about it!
Pot roast and rice for supper, and enjoyed some TV for a change, and now I know I will be able to watch Trunps inauguation on Friday!

We spent most of the day with Paula and Jim at there new house as they begin the process of moving. Rod spent the morning with Jim at Lowes for needed supplies. Then on to their house for cleaning and chores to prepare for their move.
We were all invited to the boat of a couple here at the marina, Matt and Cat, for a spagetti supper she does once a month for the people here at the marina! What a treat!! 1/14/17 Saturday

We pulled up our anchor at 6:45am this morning and headed on South down the St. John's River toward Sanford, Florida. A beautiful day to travel but we learned a very valuable lesson!!! DONT TRAVEL DOWN THE ST JOHNS RIVER ON A SATURDAY!!! The trip should have taken us 4 hours but it took 6 hours due to all the Saturday boaters!! And fisherman!! I am sure 90% of our travel time today was at a crawl pace!! Our boat is big and makes such a large wake we just had to go so slow past all the other smaller boats!
But we arrived safe and now docked here at the marina for the next month!!
I was in the boat picking up and changing  clothes after we had been here about 2 hours, and I get a phone call and this lady says, are you on a boat at Monroe Harbor Marina? I said yes I am. She said I have Lexie up here in the parking lot of the dockhouse, she was up here wandering around and wanted to play with my dog!!!  So I took off up there and she was happy as a lark she had made a new friend!! She has never gotten off our boat before without permission!! I was scared to death yet so glad she was ok, and I was very glad I had her name and my phone number on her collar!! Quiet a scare!!
We really like Sanford and of course we have great friends Paula and Jim to spend plenty of time with. This Stay will be helping them move into their new land home and off their boat. It's just time they need to move on land again, one day we will too.
We had supper at the marina restaurant together this evening and made plans for the days ahead!! Lol
No pics all we saw was boats, boats, and more boats today!, lol
Much love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod

1/13/17 Friday

Ok it's Friday the 13th and we traveled last night till midnight really 12:30am before we got anchored  and in the bed!!! 163 miles yeaterday and 17 hours!!  We woke up this morning at 6am and Rod was still excited about his accomplishment!!  The St Johns River is taking us South gain to Sanford, Florida where we will stay a month with Paula and Jim at Monroe Harbor Marina.
We had a beautiful travel day but by 3pm Rod was pooped and decided to anchor early and relax. We are in a nice quiet cove and should sleep well. We did a few chores of clean up and then sat out in the bow of the boat with Lexie and enjoyed the view for a while. I went to fix our supper and came up to check on Rod and he was in his recliner asleep!! Lol. I woke him up we ate supper and it's 7:30 and he is trying his best to stay awake as long as possible, but I bet he will not make it long!! Ha I didn't have my quota of sleep last night either so we will be asleep before the 9pm boaters midnight!! Lol
Another good and safe day of travel!!!
We should be in Sanford tomorrow morning around 11am and get settled in!!
Much love to all, and I do hope you had a Good Friday the 13th!!! Lol. Ms. Fran & Capn Rod

1/12/17 Thursday

We left Titusville this morning promptly at 6:45am. A georgeous morning to travel!! We have had the best weather travel day ever!! Mainly as we have had the tide and current with us most of the day so we have made 100 miles by 5pm. So Rod and his adventurous spirit, he decided he wants to travel by this gigantic full moon and keep going! I'm sceptical but I do trust my Captain explectly so here I am writing the blog and we are still moving!! Our navigational system is VERY dependable and accurate so here we go!!  I heated some leftovers for dinner and we ate on the move!! The moon is incrediblely bright and a good time for him to try his night driving LOL
We may anchor later for a few hours sleep around Jacksonville, I'll let you know tomorrow how our night travel goes Ha!,
Love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod

We stayed around the boat and waited for the diver to come replace the zincs that his guys forgot to install when we were here a month ago and had the boat bottom cleaned. They showed up about 10am and had them on by 10:30am.
Jim and Paula arrived at 12:15 and off we all went to Dixie Crossroads for Rock Shrimp!!!  Great friends and great food makes for a great day!! We then made a Walmart run for supplies to get us through the next 5 days at anchor befor we arrive in Sanford.
