We left early on the 11th headed for The Grand Canyon!! 9 1/2 hour journey so we knew there would be a few overnights somewhere. We made it to El Paso and stopped at a Walmart, bought groceries needed for thr next week in the park. Horrible nights sleep there. We did not realize there was a train track about 100 yds from the parking lot!!! Plus I’m sure there was a small tornado came through during the night!!! This motor home has never shook like that before. We got up and pulled out early to head on to another yet 6 hour or so trip. As we were driving along I-10 Rod saw a billboard about Tombstone Az. And began telling me the stories about Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. So we decided to make the 24 mile detour to go to Tombstone!!! What a great 2 hours or so we spent in this cowboy gun slinging town!! Gun fights in the street, actors everywhere. Rod was in his element!! He should have been born back in those days!! Lol. A fun filled time well worth the detour.
We will made it through Tucson into Casa Grande Az to a Cracker Barrel for a great supper and a nice quiet place to spend the night!! Cracker Barrel’s are the best!!!
Only a 4 hour trip tomorrow to the Grand Canyon to the RV park we will be staying for the next 3 days. Again I have no idea if I will have internet or phone service. I’ll post when I can!!
