March27th-April 3rd. 2019. Kingsley, Kansas

Well as you can tell I have not posted in a while as there has been no internet available at any place we have been. We had horrible storms the last 3 days we were at Oak Glen RV park in Chandler Ok, and was glued to the house as poor Lexie had a rough few days dealing with the thunder.
We finally left on Monday the 26th and travelled all day to arrive at Settler Inn RV Park in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. My bucket list place to visit!! Ree Drummond The Pioneer Woman. We toured the simple little town of Pawhuska and had lunch at her restaurant The Mercantile. What a fabulous place!! I was so excited as they told us there was free tours to her lodge where they film her food network show as well as it is the guest house on the ranch. To my disappointment they had to cancel tours on the ranch and there were no tours scheduled again until April 22nd!! My heart was broken.
We drove out to the ranch and was able to drive part of the way onto the ranch. Rod promised we will return again on our next trip out here and the host at the mercantile showed me how to go to the blog and check dates for upcoming tours this summer.
We walked around town the next day and visited the museums in town. Most of everything revolves around the Drummond family. We went to the deli at the mercantile again the next day and picked up a sandwich and drove around the area.
Not getting to meet Ree was a disappointment but we still had a wonderful time.
We left today, April 3rd and drove to Kingsley,  Kansas. A Very small little town and one of Rod’s bucket list is about 30 miles away, DODGE CITY! So cowboys again for the next 3 days!
We checked into 4 Acres RV Park around 4pm. Set up camp again and ate some leftovers!! We will head for Dodge City tomorrow morning.
Love to all, Ms. Fran & Cap’n Rod
Here are a few pics from the last few outings!!!
