12/18/16 Sunday

We woke up this morning to the wonderful smell of the ham I prepared in the crockpot last night!! Yummy!!!  We dressed and got the ham in a carry thermal bag, Jim picked us up at 9am to head to Sanford for the Spence family Christmas picnic!! It's a 45 min drive from Titusville to Sanford by car.  A beautiful sunny 85 degree day! I saw it snowed in Nashville this morning!! Hope you guys enjoyed!  Lol. We helped get the tables and food all set up at the park just across from the marina where Paula and Jim live on their boat. Everyone arrived around 1pm! Lots of good food. I baked the ham, Dale (Jim's son in law) fried a turkey, develed  eggs, corn pudding, sweet potato casserole, rolls and cookies brownies, and a real treat something called cherry pie lasanaya!! No one left hungry! The little ones played in the park and the adults just enjoyed each other company!! Paula and 2 other families brought scratch off lottery tickets for everyone to have one!! Rod and I won $3.00 between us. A few others won a dollar here and there, but one of the teenagers won $40.00!! A wonderful fun day and we appreciate them always including us in their family Christmas gathering each year. They all make us feel so welcomed!  Even being 60 miles from Titusville we were able to see the rocket launch today at 1:45pm at Cape Canavral! Always a treat!
We drove by and saw Paula and Jims new house they will be moving into early January. Difinitely a new chapter in their life!
After we got home a little clean up of dishes and now just kicked back and resting. A fun but tiring day!! We have just 2 more days here at the marina in Titusville so we will be doing last minute sight seeing!! We have had lots of fun here but ready to move on down the waterway!!!
Much love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod

2/16/16 Tuesday Titusville, Fla

Our last day here in this beautiful place along with the great weather!!! We had a bad thunder storm last night, of course Lexie had us up for almost 2 hours before her Meds kicked in and she went to sleep. We heard there were tornados just inland from here. We spent the morning finishing up the last chores to be completed so we can take off tomorrow morning.
Jim and Paula came and we enjoyed another great meal with them at New York New York Restaurant. We had assortments of gizzards, frog legs, fried oysters, fried chicken sweet potato fries, coleslaw and home made potato chips!! We all left very full indeed!!!!
One more Walmart run!! I really have no idea when I will be able to shop again before getting home!!
Paula and I enjoyed a long walk around the Marina, just enjoying being with each other, and the guys sat on the back deck talking about who knows what while we were gone!! Lol
Then it was time to say goodbye!!! Very hard for us to do so we just say " see you again soon" !!!
Rod and I ate fruit for supper as lunch was the big meal of the day!!, ha
We plan to untie and leave here by 6:30-7am in the morning!! We should make it to Daytona tomorrow.
We plan to throw out the anchor somewhere about there.
Please keep us in your prayers for a safe travel day!!
Love and blessings to all, Fran & Capn Rod
Hard for these two "brothers" to say goodbye too!! See you again soon!

2/15/16 Monday Titusville, Fla

We woke up this morning and made the list of all we needed to get accomplished!!! But then decided we needed to get some exercise first and ride our bike through town!!!
Of course we came upon a local restaurant and smelled bacon!!!! Could not pass up the opportunity!!!
The restaurant, Your Place!! It reminded me of Thomas Cafe in Georgetown. I had a biscuit and gravy with bacon on the side!!! Rod had eggs, ham, grits, and toast!!!! Yummy!!, sure needed to ride off these calories!!! Lol  We rode a couple of miles just enjoying the beautiful 70 degree weather!!
Got back to the boat and chores were started and completed by 4pm. Motor maintenance done, batteries cleaned and charged up with new brackets installed. All the outside curtains on the boat washed and cleaned (they have to be polished too), Clothes washed, sheets changed, house vacuumed, and fridge cleaned out!!! We are ready to take off again!! We then decide to go back to Dixie Crossroads for rock shrimp as we enjoyed them the last time we were here. What a great treat!
Got one more day here tomorrow. Paula and Jim will come over and spend the day!! We could not get all the groceries I needed in their car yesterday so we will pick up a few more needed things to make the last leg of our journey home. We will be home in about 2 weeks weather permitting!!  Last year we got held up at Isle of Hope near Savannah, because of ice storm!! What a great place to get stranded LOL.
Got a few pics to share of today's adventures!!  Love to all, Fran & Capn Rod

A great breakfast enjoyed at Your Place!!

Oh !!  I forgot !!! It was a requirement that I go back to Dixie Crossroads for more Rock shrimp!!!

We enjoyed their corn fritters!! Sorry I don't have a pic of my rock shrimp!! I devoured them before I remembered I did not take a pic!! Lol

This osprey has been sitting and hollering all afternoon just behind our boat on a street post!! She has a nest very near by and flies from nest to post!! We watched her catch a fish for her supper!!

2/14/16 Sunday Titusville, Fla

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
I do hope everyone had a great day and was able to spend some time with the people they love!!,
We did!!! Paula and Jim came over and took us to a restaurant New York New York a local place here in Titusville. We had hoped of a chicken gizzard dinner (which we had discovered are the best we have ever eaten) but no gizzards today on the menu!!! Paula was the saddest of all!! We do plan to go back on Tuesday to enjoy them before we leave. Instead we all had the Valentines special of prime rib, roasted potatoes, asparagus, and salad!! YUMMY!!!
We then made our shopping run to Walmart, Home Depot, and ace hardware for the supplies we needed. Then we ended the adventure with ice cream!!! Carmel delight and pumpkin scoops!!!
Back to the boat Paula and I took a nice walk around the Marina, (needed to get in our steps and walk off a few calories). Tomorrow will be a repair and fix it and cleaning day!!!
It was a good Valentine's Day!
My love to you all !!!
My Valentine Candy from Rod !! I also got a pink tee Shirt!!!

2/13/16 Saturday Titusville, Fla.

Well, another great travel day traveling back north on the waterway!!! We left Vero Beach at 7am and headed for Titusville. It was a beautiful sunny day!! It was warm on the boat but when we walked out on the front of the boat the wind was a bit chilly!!!
We arrived in Titusville about 3:30pm and went to the fuel dock and put in 200 gals of diesel fuel. Lexie was so excited to do her business on land while the boat was being fueled!! Ha
We then docked our boat in a slip of which we will stay for the next 3days. Being at anchor for several days we have some chores to be completed clothes to be washed, and I will definitely need some groceries. Using our battery and generator power for so many days Rod needs to do some maintenance on them as we had some power issues the last 2 days. For some reason the microwave don't want to work on generator power. But when we plugged into dock power today it was fine. Rod say he can fixi it ! Thank God for his talents of repair!!!
We will spend some time with Paula and Jim while we are here. They can get here from Sanford in about 45 mins. We look forward to seeing them tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a Valentine to spend time with tomorrow!!!
Love and Blessings to all, Fran & Capn Rod

Just wanted to share this sight we saw today!! We have never seen 2 tug boats tied together traveling like this! Mom and baby!!! Hehe

Saw this unusual boat today!! We said it looked like the Jetsons yacht!! LOL

12/21/14 Sunday Titusville, Fla

Had a grand day with all of Jim and Paula's family at their Family Christmas cookout!! Jim came and picked us up around 9:30 this morning and we went to Sanford Fla, where went last year and docked with them for 6 weeks!!!
They had reserved a picnic shelter there across from the marina where everyone met and cooked hamburgers, home made white chili. Lots of extras and many deserts!!! We exchanged gifts, Paula gave me 2 bottles of gourmet olive oil Tuscan Herb and Garlic infused !!! Yummy!!! She knew how much I would enjoy those!!!
Rain was on the way so they brought us back to the boat, 45 minute drive from their marina, and we got here just in time for the downpour!!! Hope it's gone by the morning as we plan to untie and take off heading south around 7am if all goes as planned.
A fun day but hard to say goodbye to dear friends!! We will see them again as we head back north in about 6 weeks!!!
Hope all is doing well and ready for Christmas!!!
Much love to all, Fran and Capt Rod

12/17/14 Wednesday Titusville, Fla

OK, so I forgot to set the alarm last night!!!  Oops! We woke up at 7am and just had so say only an hour late!, ha ha!! Sure felt good to have that extra sleep!!
We left the anchorage south of Daytona around 8am and traveled our short distance to Titusville Marina around 1:30 or so. Went ahead and fueled up the boat ( we don't really want to have to buy fuel in the keys, much more expensive)!!!
We got the boat docked, took Lexie for a nice long walk,  showered, and got on the bike and ride downtown. Chose a Burger King and feasted on a whopper and fries!! We needed the splurge!!! Hehe
Rode a few blocks for some exercise found a park that has a festival of light show but it was closed!!  We found out it is Open only Thur- Sun !!   I was kind of glad as I really would like to have a camera when we go!!
We contacted Paula and Jim, they will drive over tomorrow after Jim has an MRI on his knee. Surgery probably coming up for him!!! Shopping time with Paula tomorrow!!!   I will have a camera tomorrow !!!
We saw several things today and sooooo hated I was not able to get good pics!! I did get a few with our IPhones that I will post!! The Dolphins were playing all day in the wake of our boat!! It was a hot day close to 85 degrees most of the day but the evening bike ride back home was a bit cold since we did have on shorts and a Tshirt.
So glad to be here and see our friends for a few days before heading on south!  And we also learned a missile launch will take place ove at Cape Canaveral on Friday at 2pm!!! Excited to see that!! Our dock is only about 5 miles away from the launch pad so we should be able to see it well !!!!
I hope all is ready for Christmas as it is arriving soon!! Only a few more shopping day left!!! So glad mine is done!! And delivered!!!
Merry Christmas to all, we love each if you!!!  Fran and Capt Rod

Mama and her young!!! Rod said the little one was probably 2 years old!! They stay with their Mom for a couple of years!

This one surfed with us for a good 5 minutes!!  Beautiful animals!!!

Rod found this picture he took a few days ago! This was the wild horses we saw back in St Augustine on an island! Not a good pic but best we were able to get!! What a time for a broken camera!!!
