When we turned and got back on the ICW we had seen where there was a free city dock, and decided to check it out for the night instead of anchoring out. GREAT little secluded area. A man and lady fishing on the pier came and helped us dock. There is no power source here just one big long dock. We would have run our generative at anchor, so that was not an issue. Lexie got a nice long walk and some good running time up and down the dock!! While I cooked dinner of meat loaf, mashed potatoes and steamed cabbage with a side of sliced tomatoes, Rod and Lexie fished off the dock, Rod caught a small 6 inch fish, Lexie grabbed it and ran down the dock with it!! She is a fishin dog!!! Ha
She also stole and ate some small minnows Rod had for bait!!! She is TOOO funny!!
I got some Good pics of that! Ha
We plan to make Jekyll Island tomorrow, having to cross that dreaded St Sndrews Sound tomorrow afternoon!! I so dread that HUGH body of water, it is just the worst part of the trip!!! We pray for smooth waters!!!
Again God gave us a great day!!!
Love to all, Fran and Capn Rod
Rod still loves plotting our trip on paper charts!!! He's here planning tomorrow's travels!!
Took this just as she was carrying down the dock and dropped it!! She really wanted to bring on board!! Ha
