12/14/15 Monday Travel Day 4 Headed South

We pulled up anchor this morning at 6:40am!!!! OMG !!! Rod was not joking when he said he wanted to get moving early!!! We arrived to Jekyl Island in about an hour so we called our friends there on the radio and wished them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and told them we would see them on our way back in March. So the next leg of travel for the day THE DREADED ANDREWS SOUND!!! And as usual it was horrible. Rod kept say it was not as bad as we have been through before but 15 mins into the sound I was so sick I thought I would hyperventilate!!! I refused to throw up!!!! So we took the long route around and got into calm waters in 10 mins. This route only added 3 miles to our trip but the difference in the ride was incredible!!! It IS my choice of routes across this bay!! The rest of our 82 total miles today was cloudy and very warm. When we were coming through Fernendino Beach by the submarine station the coast guard was escorting a submarine in!! There was 9 coast guard boats all had 50 caliber guns mounted on the front of each boat, and a person manning each gun!!! 2 helicopters overhead!!!  Rod would not let me take pictures as we went by!! He said they would come and confiscate my camera!!! Lol
We arrived at the Jacksonville City docks around 4:30pm. We had a gentleman greet us when we arrived named Capn Browne. Just a good sarmaritian that comes to the docks daily to see if anyone needs his help.
We took off bike riding, after Lexie got a nice long walk in, and went to find a restaurant of anything rather than cooking!! We covered approx 3 miles and still NO place to eat!!! We called it our "bIking for a Bite" but found no bite!! Ha  So after our good cardio workout we went back to the boat and had Pizza for dinner!! Not really what we had in mind, but at this point we didn't have much choice.
Tired, showered, jammies on ready for bed!!! Rod says it's an early day tomorrow!!! Still we are having a blast!!! Excited about getting to Sanford and seeing Paula and Jim our BBF (best boater friends). We should arrive in 2 days. Rain predicted tomorrow!!! 😥😖
Please continue to keep our travels in your prayers!!! Love to all, Fran and Capn Rod

Another georgeous sunrise!! Worth getting up early to see!!

This is Capt Browne card!! Such a nice gentleman!! Even had treats to share with Lexie!
We all should do more of Paying it forward in our daily lives! Every little deed can mean so much!!
