12/16/15 Wednesday Travel Day 6 Arrived in Sanford Fla.

6 days on the water and at 3pm today we arrived in Sanford, Fla. We pulled up anchor this morning at 7:05am to the worst fog possible on the water!!! But we chose to navigate only by chart, and no sight!! Lol  Crossing a Hugh lake George with no view was a bit nerve racking but we have faith in our navigation program!! It lead us through and soon the sun lifted the fog and we remained on track. We encountered several patches of fog for a big portion of the day. The St. John's River is magnificent for bird watching. I do have some pics to share!!
We arrived at Monroe Harbor Marina in Sanford and was greeted by Jim and Paula to assist with docking. So excited about seeing our BBFs ( best boater friends) again as we have not seen Jim for a year!! Paula and I met in Savannah last August for a "girls weekend"  A wonderful reunion!!! After we got the boat tied secure, we took showers and got dressed up (which we had not done in a week) they took us up into town for dinner. A much needed walk through town to a Greek restaurant and enjoyed a great meal !! Yea!!! I did not have to cook!!! Thanks Paula and Jim for a special time together and for dinner. Got back to the boat by 6:30pm but we were exhausted and just needed to rest so we did call it an early evening. We are so looking forward to adventures here again. Sanford is a great town and area to spend a winter!! Especially with wonderful friends! I'll keep you updated on our adventures!!!
