2/18/16 Thursday Jacksonville Beach, Fla

We sure had a great night at anchor!!, the wind was almost non existent, and the water movement was none!! Makes for a great nights sleep on anchor!! Lol
We got up early and had the anchor up and ready to drive off by 6:45am. It was a beautiful day of travel. We decided since we had such a long long day yesterday and checking with the tides we need to get through a few places, we decided to dock early at the Jacksonville City docks for a nice relaxing afternoon and evening. We arrived around 12:30 pm and got all settled. We decided to take a dinghy ride up this little cove to see what was up there, so Rod got the dinghy off the boat. Just as we were getting ready to take off for a ride Capn Brownie came by the dock. We had met him the last stop here he calls himself the official dock greeter and will help with whatever you might need. I ask him about CVS or a Walgreen and how far to get there. He said everything was about 13-15 miles into downtown. But he insisted he did not mind taking us. So off we went with him as he gave us a lot of history of the area. He grew up here and was 72 yrs old!!! In the CVS I was able to obtain the Sea Bands Sherry told me about and said they really work for sea sickness. I have never been seasick before but I really think that is what I am feeling when we cross the rough waters of 3 big sounds in Georgia. So I am excited to give these a try. He took us through some historic places here around the area and gave us some ideas of things to do here next trip. He offered to even take us there for the day and then come back and pick us up. We have put them on our bucket list to do!!
We did finally get in a dinghy ride in Lexie's Limo!! A bit chilly but a fun ride that Lexie and I diffinitely enjoyed!,
I made mac & cheese and Rod put a ham steak on the grill for us!!
Dishes done, showers taken and jammies on I'm ready for bed!! Again we were blessed with a good day!! I continue to ask for travel prayers for us as we continue our trip home!!
Love and blessings to all, Fran & Capn Rod

I Was in awe of this beautiful plantation home on the waterway today!!

Capn Brownie took us by a shipyard and told us this was the ship used by Robert Ballard on a secret mission when he discovered the Titanic 30 yrs ago. You may remember Mr. Ballard as he also discovered the wreckage of President John Kennedys PT 109.
How's that for finding treasure!!!

Woowhooo!!! a dink ride!! In Lexie's Limo!!

Wonder where this cruise is going!! Took this from our dock this evening. Now that's a boat!
They both ready for some fishing!!!!
