2/20/16 Saturday Jekyll Island, Ga.

We officially left the state of Florida around 10am this morning as we crossed the St Mary's River in the St Andrews Sound!! We are now in the state of Georgia!!! We left Fernendino Beach on Amelia Island this morning around 8am, to some of the calmest waters we have had the entire trip!!! The water crossing the sounds were great for cruising across!! I had bought my sea bands for sickness yesterday, but thank you Lord I did not need them!!!!
We arrived at Jekyll Harbor Marina around 10:30am. I was shedding clothes just after we got here to shorts and a tee shirt!!! They put is in a good dock that has cable TV hook up as Rod said it was a must we be able to watch the Daytona NASCAR race on Sunday!! Lol   The dock hand Chris, said he very much understood as he would be watching also!!
We quickly settled in and got on the bike and rode into town. They have renovated the downtown area around the conference center and it is one beautiful place. They call the area Beach Village. The bike paths on this island are nicer than the street!! Lol   We spent a couple of hours walking through the area and then rode about 12 miles on the scenic bike path on the north end of the island. We plan to do the south end tomorrow morning (before the race comes on at 1pm). The Marina offers a golf cart for travel but the bike is so easy to ride and can really cover more of the trails than the golf cart can.
We were blessed again with another great travel day and a great day of sight seeing! Paula sent me a text and told us of the ISS passing across the sky around 7:35pm this evening. We watched it go across the NW Sky in and out of the clouds for 5 minutes!! What a treat to witness!
The weather is predicted to be sunny and warm all weekend!! I hope you have the same!
Much love and blessings to all, Fran & Capn Rod

Crossing the dreaded St Andrews Sound!! Look at that water, smooth as glass!! Whew!!!!! Blessed again!!

Docked on the beautiful Jekyll Island, Ga.

Saw this majestic guy sitting right above the dock on a power line.

God ended the day with a beautiful firey sunset!!
