July 1-5, 2019 Las Vegas, NV

As you have probably read we are really in a small community south of Las Vagus called Cal-Nev-Ari, NV. We have been her a week and have one more day here. The only reason we have stayed this long is to get through the 4th of July holiday and we were blessed with no fireworks!!!! We consider that a blessing with not having to deal with Lexie’s seizures!!! No one loves fireworks better than me but it breaks my heart to see her suffer all night long! I still was able to say Happy Birthday America!!!!!

July 1st.  We drove into south Las Vegas to the Clark County Museum that we were told about by the historian, Mark, from Pawn Stars when we visited there last week. An beautiful museum and very well depicted the living here in the area back as early as the 1800s. Most of it was outside so we walked quickly through that area as it was 107 degrees!!!!!  The older homes now have air conditioning so that was the relief from the heat.
We then drove on in to Celebrity Cars Museum. It was famous cars owned at one time by famous people and picked to sell and well over a million dollars each. We enjoyed eating about who owned them.

July 2nd.  We went to Bull Head City Arizona and spent the day touring the city. As the same everywhere it’s all about the huge casinos!!!  But the Colorado River is gorgeous!!! We found a place to have Lexie groomed and made an apt for her on Friday the 5th.
At 6pm we drove into downtown Las Vegas to the Vamp’d Rock Bar and Grill to meet with all the Count Kustoms guys!!! They were so much fun, they enjoyed the crowd as much as we did them!! Got pics with them and they signed our poster and the shop rag we bought for Cody to hang in his garage. We had a great supper and drinks and enjoyed the restaurant and all that was going on all evening there!! Las Vegas is definitely the city of lights and the town that never sleeps!! We are old
so we were there till about 11pm as that was past our bedtime by the time we drove home!!! Lol

July 3rd.  We rested all day!!!! We had breakfast at the RV Park restaurant and stayed home to mainly avoid the heat!!

July 4th. We decided to drive back to the Arizona side of Hoover Dam. Several people said it was a totally different view and you can walk out on the archway bridge on the Arizona side and have a different view of the dam. Well worth our time to see the awesome view.
We also spent some time in Boulder City another beautiful city lots of casinos but as well a lot of history and a grand view of Lake Mead, the largest man made Lake in the US. Of course formed by Hoover Dam. The city is full of beautiful beaches and being a holiday, every single inch of the beaches were covered with people, umbrellas and jet ski’s !!!

July 5th. We had to have Lexie at the groomer in Bullhead City Az at 10am. It’s an hours drive over there. We left her went and got haircuts for ourself and drove around the town, had lunch, by then Lexie was ready and we drove home.
NASCAR tonight!!!!  We we are watching the race and the motorhome starts shaking violently!!!! Rod said You washing clothes??? I said NO and it never shakes that bad. We went outside and the ground and bushes and the little tree here beside the MH were all shaking. It lasted about 1 1/2 mins!!
We felt an Earthquake!!!! It was at 8:15pm. Rod was so excited!!! Lol

What a fun time we have had here!!! We have some repairs on our bed as it is making a noise when we close it up for the day. It’s an adjustable sleep number bed. And has to be put in the sitting position to be able to get into the bedroom during the day. So that will be evaluated tomorrow. We have to get the mattress off and check out the slide and motors!!!  Yuck!!! Always something!!
Pulling out of here early Sunday morning headed for Southern California near Bakersfield.
Much love to all, Ms. Fran & Cap’n Rod
