July 23,24,25, 2019 Home Valley, Washington

We arrived at Wind Mountain RV Resort around 3pm. Sitting literally on the side of the mountain on the Washington side of the Columbia, River. Every time we crossed the river (and it seemed like everything we wanted to see we had to cross what they named “The Bridge of the Gods”. $5.00 for MH and Car, $2.00 each way for the little car. Over to the Oregon side. We had a great 3 days here!! Beside the incredible views from the campground over the river. We went to several museums, ate twice at the local place Big T’s Bar and Grill that sat over looking the river. Went to the base of Mt Hood. Rod said there is just to much snow up there for me!! So we took pics and drove on!!! Lol
We hiked up to see Multinomah Fall. So worth the walk. It was a beautiful so there were hundreds of people.
We went to Bonneville Dam which is the largest boat locks in the northern US. We were never in a place on our boat to go through a lock were they pull you into a chamber, then fill it with water and push you out on the other side!! We were there just in time to see a huge freighter go through. Really neat for us that still love boats!!! Lol  These were called The Cascade Locks”
Visited a large Salmon and Sturgeon hatchery and learned how they are preserving and replenishing  the Salmon populations here. It’s been another bucket list 3 days!!!
News!!!! We are scheduled to replace our broken windshield Aug 8 while we are just south of Glacier National Park. 8n Kellaspell, Montana for a week.
We left this morning 6/26/19 headed toward Trout Creek Idaho for a 3 day adventure!!!
I’ll keep you updated!!!
Love to all, Ms. Fran & Cap’n Rod
