June 13th Downtown San Francisco, Ca

A 2 hour drive for us but yet another gorgeous view of the area. We arrived in San Francisco about 11am and spent the entire day driving and touring around the city. The day was a sunny clear day but 64 degrees and wind blowing!!! I had on shorts and a thin shirt!! Thank goodness for a sweatshirt jacket in the trunk!!! We drove down Lombard St, supposedly the curviest street in the world!! A fun little 10 min drive and the view was fabulous!!!!
A beautiful city!!! And 100,000 people or should I say tourist just like us!!! Not a tour available to go to Alcatraz till August 19th. REALLY????  We got to see it from the Wharf, the best we could do!!
Some how ended up in an area called Sausalito, Ca just outside of San Fransisco. We enjoyed it a lot!! It’s views of the Bay Area, Alcatraz, were magnificent.
The Golden Gate Bridge was almost completely covered in fog and even though we were there all day, we never were able to see it from top to bottom!! I hated that for Rod. We both agreed it was a bucket list day overall!!!
Off to Yosemite National Park tomorrow!!!    Love to all. Ms. Fran & Cap’n Rod
