July 22nd 2019 Crater Lake, Ca

We did not realize it was as far as it was to get to Crater Lake from our campground, but we got up early and made the 1 hour drive to Crater Lake!!! I was not coming this far and leave with out Rod seeing this incredibly beautiful place, that could only be created by God himself!!!! I saw it several years ago and could not wait to feast on its beauty again!!!
Rod was blown away!! There is a 33 mile road to go around it as it is 6 1/2 miles across this lake created by a volcano some 7700 yrs ago. It’s the deepest lake in the USA and the cleanest purest lake in the world. It really does look like a painted picture!!! Totally incredible!!!
We stayed at Rim Village for about and hour, had lunch at the lodge. Enjoyed the view for a while and drove home!!! I wish everyone in America could see this beautiful place.
Really one of God’s most beautiful creations!!!
