July 16th. Santa Rosa, Ca Napa Valley

We have been here at Fisherman’s RV Park for 3 days so we packed up and headed out this morning.
I had scheduled us a winery tour up in Napa Valley as we have seen all these vineyards but not a winery. As we were coming into Santa Rosa we found the Belly Jelly plant!! I would have loved to had time for a tour!!
We arrived at Mayo Winery around noon and discovered they did not have a big enough lot for us to park this big rig in and then able to get out!!! They were so nice and tried to make a way for us to fit but just could not work.
We were parked in front of the vineyard and was able to go inside and take a short tour of their vineyards. Got some great pics and lots of knowledge about wine. I had no idea there was so many. We purchased a few bottles they will make great gifts for some in our family.
We left there and thought we were on the right road to get us back to interstate 5. BUT NO !!!!!! We ended up on a small 2 lane road and curvy as well!!! Rod was not a happy camper!!  Then we hit a huge limb, I guess, it happened so fast and boom!!! A huge plate size hole in the upper right corner of the windshield!!! Glass filled the dashboard and my lap!!!
Rod stopped as soon as he could to evaluate the damage. Nothing but the windshield was broken! And my feelings as I felt like I had the navigation to get us on a better road. Damage done!! What can I say!!  Insurance called. Safelite will order us anew one and meet us in Eugene, Or. next week Monday or Tuesday.
We stopped at the next Home  Depot, per Safelite, bought Gorilla Tape and tapped up the hole inside and out.
It was getting late and Home  Depot said we could camp out here for the night.
Leftovers for dinner!!! Bed early as we have about 3 hours to our next camp ground tomorrow up in the Redwood National Forest!
It was a very trying day, but God kept us safe, and things are already in place to be replaced!!
Love to all, Please pray for our travels!!! Ms. Fran & Cap’n Rod
