12/10/14 Wednesday Beaufort, SC

What a beautiful morning and sun rise as we pulled up anchor in Charleston this morning!! 52 degrees and NO WIND !!!! Makes for a good day. No big events all day. Just a slow journey across the hugh, St Helena Sound. We did read from a new book Rod recieved from Sherry for Christmas, a National geographic book "Uncommon History of Common Things". Great history and trivia!! We did see lots of Dolphins, many had little ones with them. Always fun to see and enjoy Mother Nature.  I was able to practice with my new BB gun I got from Rod for Christmas, shooting at mile markers and crab traps!, hehe I love to make the seagulls jump off the markers!! I promise no birds were harmed at the expense of me having fun!! ha
Traveled about 60 miles we decided to anchor around 3:30pm at a place we knew would be a good place to spend the night.  Pigeon Point is about 5 miles south of Beaufort, SC near Parris Island ( the Marines training facility).
Dinner of baked chicken thighs and fried rice with peas an corn!! Yum!! Rod eats well!!
TV antenna did not give any hope to watching any good Programs, so we chose to watch a movie!!
thanks to Kay and Terry Roseman for the great Christmas gift of a movie basket !! DVD's, popcorn, whoopers, goobers, Wow what a great gift!!! This will be enjoyed many nights on this journey!!!
Showers taken, dishes done, and ready for bed !! Lexie is already under the covers and ready to bed down for the night!! Heading out again early morning. We may try and make it to Jekyll Island for tomorrow nights lay over !! I'll let you know where we end up!!
Sorry, no pics to share tonight. Maybe some good things to photograph tomorrow!! Although Rod did want to take a pic of me sun bathing with my sweats pulled up and feet hanging out the window!!hehe
Having fun!!
Thanks for your prayers of safe travels!!
Our love to all !!!!  Ms. Fran and Capt Rod
