12/12/14 Friday Brunswick, SC anchorage

Traveled about 75miles today!!! 60 miles were nothing but marsh!! I always say Georgia has the most beautiful scenic marshes on the entire southern coast, but it does make for a hum drum day!! Ha
We left hammock island this morning around 7am and it was a slow trip all day! We never had the tide pushing us so therefore we rode pushing against the tide all day. Most of the day we only had a speed of 7-8 mph!! I had lots of fun shooting my BB gun today!! Hehe and did see lots of Dolphins and several Eagles as 2 of them were sitting on the marker signs right on the water!, (pics below).
We so hoped we could make it to Jekyll Island but we were about 12 miles short of making it by 5pm today so we have anchored just before Brunswick, Ga. We will make the short trip into the marina at Jekyll Island in the morning and dock for a few days, probably thru the weekend and leave on Monday.
Rod did some window cleaning and outside housekeeping while I showered and prepared Hotdogs and chips for dinner!!  He WILL be taking me out tomorrow night for dinner!!, YEAH !!
No TV channels available tonight so it was another movie night!! We enjoy that too!!
I will post our excursion on the island tomorrow night. It's a great island and easy to bicycle about anywhere you need or want to go do!!
Needing a goods nights sleep right about now!!
Love to all,  Fran and Capt Rod

Here was about 1/3 of our track today!! Even when we first pulled out as you can see we were doing 7.58mph slow tide fighting day!

Rod said this was a Board of Directors meeting of the Pelicans and sea gulls!! Or they were waiting on the buffet as the tide falls!!

Again Rod caught me sun bathing !! Beautiful sunny day, why not take advantage!! Love my new seat, Rod calls it the Admirals Chair!!!

   My Capt!!!
Lexie protecting our paper charts!! Rod always has them handy as he just can not fully trust our computer program!
