12/9/14 Tuesday Charleston, SC

We shoved off this morning promptly at 7am!!!  It was a beautiful morning BUT 42 degrees!! We looked like Eskimos!!! Rod had on 3 pair of thermal underwear!!!! I only 1 pair, with sweatpants, Tshirt, and 2 sweatshirts!!! We had a heater on the bridge so it got up to 60 degrees pretty quickly.
Lexie wanted to hog the heater space, I thought her fur was going to burn, as she wanted to sit right in front of the heater!! The day was cloudy till about 1pm, then the sun came out, the brightest blue sky ever. By 2pm we were shedding clothes as sitting in the sun the temp soon rose to almost 85 degrees!!!
We were surprised we saw only 2 boats traveling south the entire trip. What I never tire of seeing are the Dolphins and Eagles !!! They were plentiful all day !!! Thankful that the Charkeston Harbor was VERY calm and smooth cruising all the way across. As always the battery view from the water is breath taking!!
We anchored in a spot we have used the past few years called Elliott's Cut just a few miles on the south side of Charleston. Beautiful evening! Quiet here in this little cove. Rod spent some time trying to program a new HDMI antenna we installed so only a few channels we are able to pick up!! Oh how blessed and spoiled we are to have CABLE at a dock!, ha
Pizza (Digiorno's as dominos would not deliver ) for supper, motors checked, showers taken and ready for bed soon!! Lexie is already there waiting for us!,  She had a great day today spent lots of time looking out the window and laying in the sun. Less nervous this trip than last year!!
Hope to pull up anchor and get underway in the morning around 7am again and make the next stop Beaufort, SC.  We feel blessed to have had a great travel day!!  God is good!!
Keep,us in your prayers!!
Love to all, Ms. Fran and Capt Rod

Loves sitting high on the bridge, watching the birds, and the water go by!!
