We took Lexie and walked the 3 blocks or so to the hardware store for some supplies but they did not have what we needed so we took Lexie back to the boat and then rode our bike 4 miles to a Napa store for some wiring needed to patch our batteries together for better power. We also stopped by our favorite farmers market for some fruit and veggies, and there is a lady there that makes homemade salsa and guacamole!!! She also cut and sliced my pineapple for me that I purchased. I got mangos, plums, grapes and bananas !! That should keep us fed for a while!! Lol
We returned to the boat, Rod completed the needed repairs, I cleaned house a little and just enjoyed the back deck view and also was Rods "gofer" when needed.
We took Lexie for a nice long walk over at the docks where there is a great park for her to run and play. Then rode the dinghy along the shore line just to see the house and hoping to see a manatee, but no luck! We enjoyed the ride and view and Lexie did too!
Soon to be a new year! We plan to bring it in on Islamorada!!
Much love to all!! Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
At the dinghy dock this morning Rod let Lexie and I off and as he was trying to lock up the dinghy, he dropped the lock in the water!! It's about 5 ft deep but he could see it laying on the bottom! I went and found a guy there at the park and just by luck he had a wire coat hanger!! ROd then made himself a hook!!
