1/9/17 Monday

Finally this morning Rod felt we could safely travel in the wind today, so at 6:50am we pulled away from the dock at Palm Beach! Had a great tme but much ready to move on!! Ha
A sunny beautiful cool but very windy day of travel. We had a head on wind that kept Rod busy all day just keeping us on coirse!!  Lol
He really did not want to anchor tonight and worry about the wind, so we decided to call Vero Beach marina about getting a mooring ball. The guys said sure no problem, call me when you get about 30 mins away and I will assign one to you!! We were excited as his marina stays full and usually to get a mooring ball you have to share it with another boat. It's called rafting and Rod just will not do that as it's very hard to keep the 2 boats from banging together especially if it is windy.
We called about the 30 min mark of being here and the guy said sure go to ball 17 and raft with the boat there. We said no, you told us you would have a mooring for us when we called this morning. He said no all he had was rafting with another boat available. When we said no we don't want to do that he said well come on in and ride through the mooring area and if you find one take it and call it in to us with your credit card!!!!  Very disappointed we told him ok we would.
OK!! Now I have tell another story!!! About 3 days ago we had only one channel on TV and it was Charles Stanley ministries. He had a challenge for everyone to read Joshua 1:9 (you go read it) twice a day for 1 week and great things would happen. Rod and I have kept that challenge, twice daily!!
Ok so back to my story of Vero Beach!!! As we were just arriving Rod said are you praying for us to find a mooring? I said yes I have!!! When we pulled in the mooring area, to our surprise mooring ball #1 was sitting there empty!!! We just knew it was broken or something as all the other moorings had 2-3 boats on each mooring. But we pulled up, hooked up to it and it was fine!! Rod and I looked at each other and said "this is a God thing!!!"  God had provided us with a safe mooring for this windy night!! We felt so blessed!! God is with us everyday of our travels!!!
A beautiful sunset evening from our deck, leftover spagetti for our supper, it's been a great day!!
Love to all, Ms. Fran & Capn Rod
PS if you happen to know my sister, Connie, wish her a happy birthday today!
My sunset view off the back deck on Mooring ball #1 provided by God!!!!
The mooring field in front of us LOOK there are 2-3 boats tied together on ecch mooring!
We watched this sculling school training for awhile here at the marina tonight.
