1/1/15 Thursday Fort Pierce, Fla

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  First I send blessings for the year to each or you!!!  We started out this year with Rain!!! Got up this morning and it was windy and overcast, but thought what the heck, let's go ride the bike and see some things we had not covered in this town yet!! So off we went got about 3 miles away and it started raining!!! Yuck!!! We stopped at a dollar tree and purchased ponchos and decided to sit under the canopy and see if the rain would pass as it did look like on the radar on my phone it was not going to last long. In 30 mins it was down to a drizzle so off we rode. But guess what we finally caught up with the cloud. We had ponchos so on we went to get back to the boat. When we arrived home, guess what it quit raining!!,  Hehe. After changing into dry clothes, I sat on the back deck and texted family and friends,  sherry, Allen, Triston, and Allie to wish them a Happy New Year. We took down our Christmas decorations and put them away. We sat and discussed our travel plans for next week, where we wanted to be and when. The sun finally came out again, so we took Lexie for a good long walk!!!
I prepared our traditional News Year's Day supper, ham, hoppin John's and rice and of course Collard Greens!! It's a real southern tradition!!  We had seen all the calendar of events that go on here and every Thursday night 7pn they have a Motercycle bike festival on one of the street near the marina. Off we walked around 6:30 to to partake of this fun, and guess what ??? It was cancelled for the holidays!!   We were so disappointed!!!  We went back to the boat and watched a movie instead!!
We have decided to make the 5 mile trip to the Navy Seal's Training museum tomorrow, it is suppose to be better weather. And tomorrow night is Friday Fest night here in town, sure hope it's not cancelled. We will be there!!
I do hope all had a great 1st day of this 2015 !!!!  364 more to go!!! I pray many blessings for each day!!
Love to all, Fran and Capt Rod

Sursum Corda trying to dry from all the rain today!!

Rod found this map,of the marina and pointed to the dock were we are sitting. This place will accommodate 300 boats when it is totally completed!!! Big place! Where we live at Harborwalk in Georgetown, is a tenth this size but we have a homefolk feel about us, Right Chris?  We love our dock master Chris Carroll and everyone that visits Harborwalk feels the same!!!
